AC453 Digital Autocollimator with optional handheld interface The AC400 Series Autocollimators are high performance 2-axis non-contact digital angular displacement sensors. This new series of digital autocollimators replace the field proven AC416 autocollimators previously offered. Like the AC416 this new generation of autocollimators were specifically developed for companies that produce instrumentation or tooling requiring high precision alignment. The autocollimator also provides a means to inspect and characterize material and components. The package is comprised of a sensor module and with integrated electronics for direct readout from a PC or handheld unit. One of the very unique and useful characteristics of the AC400 Series Autocollimators is the very small beam size. The typical 3mm beam diameter means that the reflecting sample surface needs to be only slightly larger. The AC400 Autocollimator manual provides the user with detailed information on the theory of operation and maintenance of the various models in AC400 series. The AC400 Handheld Interface software (version 1.0) can be downloaded for users that have purchased the AC400 autocollimators with the highly portable PDA interface. The AC400 PC Interface (version 1.1) is the latest Windows based application software to interface the AC400 with your Microsoft Windows based PC. This software provides the user with the ability to acquire and display data as well as configure the collimator's environment. To use and navigate this application please refer to the new AC400 PC Application Help. The AC400 Mechanical Interface Drawing Set includes collimator layouts in both AutoCAD dwg and DXF file types. The chart below can be used to quickly determine which AC400 Series Autocollimator is appropriate for your application.
