LBS-6124 Galvanometer Scanner The LBS-6124 Galvanometer is a limited rotation device designed to position a light beam according to the magnitude of the applied command signal. The scanner uses a highly efficient 4-pole moving magnet motor technology. Its high torque-to-inertia characteristic permits fast dynamic response. The fixed stator winding architecture of the motor is a key component to its unparalleled reliability.

The scanner incorporates a state of the art electro-optic position sensor for highly accurate beam positioning using a servo amplifier. The position signal voltage is proportional to the tangent of the scan angle, which linearizes the signal for flat field scanning applications.

ESI uses the Measurement and Certification Techniques to guarantee that every scanner performs to laid specifications. Each scanner is tested and “burnt in” for 24 hours prior to shipment, to ensure reliability.

  • Key advantages of Galvanometric Scanners:
  • Very fast step response times
