Equipment Solutions offers two broad classes of optical scanners including galvanometers and resonant scanners. Both of these devices provide rotation through a limited range of rotation. Galvanometers sometimes refered to as a galvo, can be controlled to move to descrete positions throughout its range of motion. Galvanometers are single phase DC motor or otherwise known as a voice coil motor. Their ability to move exceptional quickl to any point is a direct biproduct of this motor architecture Resonant Scanners typically oscillates, or resonates a mirror between its two angular endpoints in a sinusoidal velocity profile. Unlike the galvanometer, it can not be controlled to move to a fixed angular position. The resonant scanner can be described as a classical spring-mass system. Very little power is required for the resonant scanner to operate, especially when comppared to the galvanometer. LBS-6124 Galvanometer : is an exceptionally high performance galvanometer. |
